Today I will be going down to get a colonoscopy. No food for 36 hours, no drink for 8 hours. Why do I need this when my health is good? My husband will drive me home.
Later, Well this was not hard for me at all, thank-you, Lord! Just before I went under, I turned to the Lord and began speaking to Him in my heart. My last words, "Into Your hands I commit my spirit." In view of today's journal prayer, that cheered me up greatly.
As it turns out, I didn't feel a thing! Everything went very well. John picked me up right on time.
They took out two polyps, but I suspect those are fine.
