Quiet Time
July 1, 2009
We, as Christians, arrange for our daily quiet time. It might be 15 minutes, half an hour, or even an hour. This is a time of stillness and quietness in our hearts and minds when we tune in to God. But just think, God is quiet ALL the time, in the sense that He is always tuned in to us. He always hears us, is always listening, always knows just where we are, what we are doing, how we are, what we are thinking, what we are really thinking so deep down inside of us that we do not even know ourselves. God doesn't have to "log in" to find us. He says, "Lo, I am with you always." What a comforting thought. Dear God, help me to stay more in touch with You, to turn to You more frequently, to ask Your advice more often, to listen for Your voice many, many, many times during the day. Thank-You, in Jesus' name, Amen.

It's a beautiful prayer, Christina. The picture is beautiful! I have to be sure Christine get to see it later today.
I long for the morning quiet time I may have some day. My quiet time at this point in my life is when I am doing dishes after dinner. I never get bothered during that time. :) I would "chew" on a thought or a verse I had seen from the day and bring it before the Lord. My "ideal" quiet time will come one day, but at the mean time, I thank God that I have dishes to wash and let the Holy Spirit cleanse my mind, heart and soul at the same time.
